We have been made aware of a several different scams circulating in our communities. Fraudsters are impersonating local banks and customer service representatives. Such messages, whether by phone, text, or email, often claim there’s an issue with your account; a problem with a previous purchase; or a transfer of money that you need to stop by clicking a link. The scammers are trying to trick you into providing personal information and/or giving access to your banking accounts as they often want you to verify charges from retailers such as Walmart, Target, etc.
